New beds

Lexie has finally decided that she likes her big girl bed. Justin made the kids some beds a couple months ago and Lexie slept in hers like 2 times then she wanted to sleep in her crib again. I let her, it's not worth the fight. Besides I like the little cage:)

This is Caden's bed that Justin made. There were some beds at RC Willey that I thought were cute, so Justin copied them. They turned out awesome. I still haven't decided what color to paint or to stain them.

Here is Lexie sleeping in the doorway of my and Justin's bedroom. This was when we first put her in her big bed, she wouldn't stay there.

This is how I found Lexie in the morning, I don't know how long she had been sleeping there. Look at that sweet little face smashed against the carpet. I felt so bad that my little sweetie was sleeping on the floor.

Kids are so honest.

Well, Caden has noticed that his mom has fat belly. No, I am not pregnant. The other day he patted my tummy and asked "what's that" I told him " my big tummy." Justin asked him if he had a big tummy. Caden then said, "no, mommy's tummy big." I guess I need to really start exercising, not just talking about it. Then to top it off, I told Caden that I loved him. He then said, "Love daddy." I asked him what about mom? He just kept saying "Love daddy." I told him to say "Love mommy." Again all he would say was "Love daddy." I am glad that he loves his dad. And I hope he was just saying that to be opposite of what I wanted him to say, and that he really does love me.

1st dental visit

Yesterday Caden, Lexie and I went to the dentist for a cleaning and a checkup. I didn't have any cavities. YA! Caden did alot better than I had expected. The hygenist took him back while I was still filling out paperwork and then she came to get me, saying that Caden wanted me. I went into the room and Caden was sitting in the chair with some sunglasses on, the hygenist gave him. It was so cute to see him sitting there. He seemed so little sitting in the big dental chair. As soon as the hygenist started polishing his teeth, he was done. She got about 3 teeth done and he was outta there. Then I sat in the chair and had Caden sit on my lap, while the dentist was able to look his teeth over. The dentist said it didn't look like there was anything majorly wrong. Then with Lexie, I didn't even try to put her in the chair. I just laid her on top of me and the dentist gave her a quick look. I guess it went pretty good for the first time. I wish I had taken my camera to get a picture of Caden sitting in the chair with his sunglasses and the little bib thing they put on. He looked awesome!

Happy Birthday LuLu

Lexie turned 2 on Jan. 25. I know everybody says the same thing, but...man, the time sure goes by so fast. Each year on the kids' birthdays I always reminisce about the day they were born and being in the hospital. It is hard to remember them being so little. But it sure is fun to watch them grow and learn new things. Especially when they start to talk, the things they say are so funny. Lexie's nickname is LuLu because when she was little, and I would do her hair in an elastic on the top of her head, Justin's mom said she looked like Cindy Lou Who from the movie "The Grinch". Then we called her Lexie Lou Who, then just Lexie Lou, now we call her LuLu. This year Lexie had 2 birthdays. We celebrated on Saturday with my family. Toni's daughter, Bailey had a birthday on the 21st of Jan. So we just combined their birthdays so my family only had to make one trip up here. We had a "Dora" cake made for her, she loved it. On Sunday we had another party for her with Justin's family. We had Sunday dinner at our house and then opened up presents after. She got alot of fun things. My favorite are the clothes. Girls have such cute clothes.

Aunt Toni is helping Lexie blow out the Candles.

I Love you Mr. Clean

I was in the front room with Caden reading some books and Lexie had just been playing. Then it got pretty quiet and I didn't think she would be coloring with marker all over the counter. So a few minutes later I went in the kitchen and checked on her and this is what I found. She was quite proud of her drawings. It came off easily with the Mr. Clean magic eraser.
Such beautiful artwork!
