False Alarm

Monday was just a typical start to the week-- other than Caden didn't go to school due to being sick--in other words pretty boring. I was sitting on the couch talking to my sis. when there was a knock at the door. I glanced out the window and saw a police car parked out front. Why would the police be at my house, I thought to myself. I answered the door, still in my jammies of course. The police officer then asked me "Is everything OK?" I warily said "Yes." He then said "We received a panic alarm from this address." I then realized that a few minutes earlier as I was changing Lexie's diaper, Caden was playing with the alarm key pad on the wall. I didn't think anything of it, what are the odds that he would get the exact code correct just by playing around? I was so embarassed, all I could do was apologize to the police officer after I explained what had happened. He said "that's OK." and took down my name, phone # and date of birth. I then had to call the alarm company and tell them that it was a false alarm. I called my sis. back after the ordeal and she said don't worry, her child called 911 once and the police showed up at her house too. I hope that others have experienced the same thing, maybe I won't feel as embarassed.

Feeding The Ducks

On nice sunny days the kids and I like to go to Salem Pond to feed the ducks and play at the park. Lexie liked to just sit and throw bread to the ducks. Each time she threw a piece of bread she would say "heeerrre ya go duck." It was so cute to listen to her. Caden likes to just run around. As Caden was running around some Geese that were laying on the dirt at the edge of the water caught his eye. Caden decided to get closer and investigate. One of the geese nibbled on Caden's pants, at first he was scared then he got mad. He came over to me and told me what the goose had done and I gave him some bread to feed to it. Caden took the bread and went back over to the goose that bit his pants and with the most mad face he could possible pull he angrily threw the bread at the goose. When he was done throwing the bread at the goose he yelled at it "DON'T DUCK!!" So funny.

Rash Ointment.

Anybody reading this who has kids has probably experienced the same thing...diaper rash ointment smeared all over the face. Why is it that this only happens after the child has been in the bath and is all ready for bed?
It is kinda hard to see the ointment on Lexie's face. She put "Butt Paste" on her face and it is about the same color as her skin. Never-the-less it is still hard to scrub off.
