My mind is blank for a clever title.....

So it has been a while since I posted last. A few things have happened since then and I have been either busy or just plain lazy to blog.

If you read about our ER trip with Caden; well, I guessed the bill would be $200 plus bucks. YEA RIGHT! I guessed WAY low! Thank goodness for insurance and the health reimbursement plan through Justin's work.

I have also finished my biology class. You may or may not care what grade I got, but I am going to share anyway because I am SO happy. I wanted an 'A' in biology so bad and I got it!! For the fall semester I am taking HIST 1700 (because, OF COURSE the history classes I took at CEU weren't the RIGHT history classes.) and NUTR 1020. Hopefully I can do as well in these two

classes.

One weekend we went to Fish Lake to stay at the cabin. It is a nice and relaxing place to be.

I counted how many stairs there were to get to and from the cabin. But, I forgot. I think there are around 70.

One Sunday we went to sacrament meeting and then skipped out on the rest of church and went to Park City with Justin's family. It was pretty hot up there, for being in the mountains. We had fun and the kids did too. Lexie's favorite was the alpine slide. Caden's favorite was the alpine coaster. Justin and I went on the zip line for the first time, and I have to admit I was nervous to go. But it ended up being lots of fun.

We went to Fish Lake again but took our trailer instead. Justin's family takes a camping trip every year when the cherries (from the orchard) are done. Lexie had been sick earlier in the week but she was better by the time we went and nobody else had gotten sick so we thought we were in the clear. Our first night Caden threw up about a million times. Seriously, I lost count. Thankfully we had the cabin close by so we could go there and do some laundry. Throughout the night with Caden puking we used up all our blankets and all his jammies. We stayed camping anyway. Caden just slept the whole time.

I can't forget another important milestone. Lexie is potty trained!!! My diaper bill has dropped considerably. She only wears diapers at night.

I am almost too embarassed to post what I am about to post. But, the most embarassing moments make for the best memories. So here it goes. Don't think that we are overboard parents. So, on Thursday night the kids were all ready for bed and decided they wanted some toast. Justin got them some food and I was down stairs, doing something productive I am sure (on the computer). I hear Justin, quite upset at Caden, asking him "what did you put in your mouth?" Then I hear Caden gagging, choking, coughing.... I go upstairs and Caden is in the bathroom trying to throw-up into the sink. He won't tell Justin why he is choking. I ask Caden, what he put in his mouth. He tells me "money". WHAT? Is that dangerous? I have no idea. I call the ER and ask the nurse if swallowing money is bad. She says, "it can be." Well, what should I do? The nurse suggests bringing Caden into the ER. At 9 p.m. we all go to the hospital. Once at the hospital Caden starts being his crazy, naughty self and is running all over the waiting room. I ask Caden, "are you sure you swallowed money?" Caden says "yes, my tongue hurts." Okay then. We go through all the hospital stuff: blood pressure, weight, heart beat, x-rays etc....After the xrays the doctor comes in and says "he didn't swallow money. There isn't anything in there." YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! The doctor concluded that Caden must have been choking on some of the crust from the toast he was eating. At this point, I am so mad that Caden told me he swallowed money and I am so embarassed that we are at the ER for choking on BREAD, that I just wanted to run out of there. I know that later, probably years down the road, I will think that this was funny. I am NOT looking forward to getting the ER bill. It will be nice when I finally get into my nursing classes so I can learn about medical things and know if they are serious or not and how to treat them. Swallowing money, I think, is probably not serious. The hospital just tells you it's serious; it is an easy $200 plus bucks for them. I have to add this. Before we went to the hospital Caden got some sand in his eye and had been rubbing it so it was quite red. As the ER doctor was checking Caden over he asked him what was wrong with his eye. Caden said, "I got rocks in it." hmmmm. It went from sand to rocks. ?? Sounds like a "fish story" to me.

I LoVe Summer!

Summer is my favorite time of the year. I love the heat. Along with summer comes all the fun activities, like swimming. Justin's grandma has a pool in her backyard, so we like to go there when we get the chance. Caden likes to go swimming, but he only likes to stay on the steps. Lexie, on the other hand....if you put her arm floaties on she is gone. She loves to jump off the diving board and also swim in the deep end of the pool. Lexie will even dive in, head first! I have never seen a 2 year old dive into a pool. Here is our little cautious guy, just hanging out on the steps of the pool and practicing blowing bubbles.

Lexie was so tired from all the swimming and jumping in. She swam over to me, laid her head on me and just floated on her tummy. I think she could have fallen asleep.

Living Planet Aquarium

We were going to go to the zoo but Caden didn't want to go because, "there are elephants there". Instead we went to the aquarium, which we haven't been to before. It was pretty neat. But if you have ever been to the Monterey Bay Aquarium (Kalley, Christina, Mom, and Dad; you know what I am talking about.) well, this aquarium just doesn't compare. I am always buggin Justin about going to Monterey, he isn't a big traveler so we haven't ever gone. For as much as the kids loved this little aquarium they would have so much fun in Monterey. Lexie would liked to have touched one of the sting rays, but her arms weren't long enough.

Our 4th of July Celebration

For the 4th of July, this year we went camping with my family. We stayed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. When Sunday rolled around I wasn't ready to go home and neither were the kids. We rode the 4-wheelers, went fishing, took naps, ate lots of good food, and had lots of fun! Caden loves to ride the 4-wheeler, and always wants to steer. He only likes to ride with his dad.

Poor thing! Lexie looks like she has had a LONG day. I promise, I do comb her hair when we are camping. She had been wearing her helmet.

Here is the camping crew!! We went on a ride to the top of the mountain. We could see everything from up there. It was GORGEOUS! Although, there was a thunder storm coming; with lightning, so we didn't stay for long. Luckily the storm missed us and we didn't get soaked.

Bridal Veil Falls

We decided to pry the kids eyeballs off the TV, away from spongebob, Dora, and Diego. We went on a little hike by Bridal Veil Falls. The Kids favorite part was running across the bridge.

I love my family, and have so much fun when we do things together.

Happy Birthday, Justin & Jenni

On Justin's birthday he thought he was a year older than he actually was. I don't know if that is good or bad. Good-because, that would make for a better birthday when you found out that you were younger than you thought. Bad- He is feeling his age, plus some.
