Wedding Bells
The beginning of June, Jodi and Dave were married. They were married in my parents yard. It was SO beautiful! As the day went on it got way cold. We thought that, in June, an outdoor wedding would be perfect weather. At least it didn't rain.
Lexie was so concerned about the flower petals that were on the ground. During the ceremony she was picking them all up and putting them back in her basket. Then a breeze would pick up and blow them out of her basket again. It was so funny, She spent the entire time picking all the flower petals up.
Caden's birthday was in May, but as usual, I am slow in posting the pictures. We had a little party with family in our backyard. Caden had so much fun opening his presents, and was so spoiled.

Notice, our little tom-boy in the background puting on Caden's new Lightning McQueen hat. I guess that is what happens to little girls that have older brothers.
When we would ask Caden what he wanted for his birthday, the only thing he cared about was having a "diesel birthday cake".

The Sweetest Thing
On Friday we went for a drive to get out of the house, since the rain won't stop. The kids started screaming to irritate mom and dad. At this point of our drive we were by a small lake. I asked Caden if he wanted me to throw him in the lake. Of course I was just kidding, it was just a threat to get them to stop screaming. Caden didn't want to be thrown in the lake. I asked him if I should throw Lexie in. He, almost in tears, said "NO! My friend!" My heart melted to hear him call Lexie his friend. I kept asking him if I should throw Lexie in just so I could hear him call her his friend. So mean, I know. We did get out and let them throw rocks in so they wouldn't be scared that they were going to be thrown in.

Caden is 4 years old
Caden turned 4 on May 21. If you have read my blog for awhile then you know that on birthday's I like to reminisce about the past and remember how little my babies were. So I had to put Caden's pictures through-out the years. It is fun to see how much he has grown and changed. I love him SO MUCH! He is a rambunctious little boy, but when I see his big smile with the dimples high on his cheeks-right below his eyes- I can't help but smile too.

Fashion Diva
I always thought it would be so fun having a girl and putting them in all the cute girly clothes. Now that Lexie is at the "do it self" stage, this is what we get.
I finally decided it isn't worth the fight if we are just going to be at home. If we go out in public I will deal with the crying, and put her in what I want her to wear.

A few weeks ago we took the kids to the zoo. We went with Justin's sister and her two kids and we also took another one of his nephews. The kids had so much fun seeing all the animals. Except for Caden. Right when we were getting the kids in the car to leave to the zoo, Caden was running aroung and fell on the cement right on his face. He instantly got a fat lip and was bleeding. We still went to the zoo, but Caden was in a bad mood for the rest of the day.

This was the only thing Caden wanted to do the whole day.....ride the train. Can you see his poor lip?

Better Late Than Never
I know Easter was forever ago, it seems. But I am just getting around to getting the pictures off of my camera. So here is a bit of our Easter activities.
Easter morning at our house.
Easter morning at Grandpa and Grandma Harmer's house.
Caden had found his long lost white diesel and that was all he cared about. He didn't want anything to do with the easter eggs and candy the easter bunny had left.
